The bronze head of SEVT III - Handmade from bronze with patina. Dimensions with the pedestal: 8 cm x 8 cm x 17 cm / height SEVT III - the last great ruler who ruled the kingdom of Odrys in the late 4th century BC. The head of the Thracian king from the tomb "Golyama kosmatka" to the town of Kazanlak is an exceptional work of art. The hypothesis that the head belongs to the Thracian king will be confirmed by an inscription found under the patina of the bronze helmet in the tomb. It reads concisely and clearly: "On Sevt." One of the rare bronze sculptures that have reached us since antiquity, with preserved eyes made of alabaster and glass paste in four different colors. Eyes that seem to have a piercing look. The work is reminiscent of the school of sculptors from the era of Alexander the Great. The statue of Seuthes III, which was dismembered and from which the bronze head was found, but not the torso, was a little taller than a man. The dismemberment symbolizes the deification of the ruler.
